I had enough for gas fees, but I started on Polygon since the gas was extremely cheap—basically pennies. For the actual capital, I used flash loans, so I didn’t need my own trading funds.
I avoided HFT because I was doing everything from my phone and didn’t have the hardware for it. I mainly focused on NAV gaps and liquidations where everything could be executed atomically in a single transaction.
After I made my first $50, I bought an Alchemy RPC plan and a private RPC to improve reliability. I still didn’t use the amount made from it as trading capital—the profits were generated through flash-loan-based opportunities.

nothing dramatic happens - the token keeps trading 24/7 but its anchor goes to sleep. price discovery drifts from NAV until the underlying market reopens, and the gap gets closed by whoever is willing to warehouse the risk in between.
this is true for tokenized stocks too, just bigger. an AAPL token at 2am saturday is priced by whoever is on the other side of the pool, not by apple. that's fine as long as mint/redeem reopens monday and arbitrage pulls it back. the scary version is a wrapper where redemption has business hours but trading doesn't.
