Unless you use LTC's MWEB, it makes no difference. They can see the later swap if they want to.

It depends on the reason you are buying Monero. If you are only interested in trading I see no reason not to just buy directly on Kraken. If you want to use Monero like a currency as it was intended, you could also buy directly and withdraw to your own wallet, but you compromise some privacy in that Kraken will know your withdrawal address, amount, and transaction time. Not much of a concern for most people really since banks don’t really know what you do with your cash when it’s withdrawn from an ATM. Same concept.
Doing the LTC swap as you mentioned increases confidentiality of your Monero activity but it’s not fool proof. Let some time lapse between withdrawing your LTC and performing the swap. Preferably transfer to other LTC addresses and consider swapping amounts different than your purchased LTC amount. This is a lot of extra effort and doesn’t reduce your overall threat too much since you were KYC’d from the start, rather trivial to follow your steps.
If you want to conceal Monero activity from Kraken, then do the swap process. Maybe not necessary depending on your situation.

Only seen one person mention it. PEP is my biggest bag. Fork off of Dogecoin. Not pep eth. This is the layer 1 coin that is merge minable with LTC and Dogecoin. If you haven’t checked it out look for their discord. Look for it on Kraken to purchase it. Huge community that is getting larger daily.

Hey r/litecoin,
One key is a single point of failure, especially with larger stacks. I’ve built LiteSig (https://litesig.com), a non-custodial multisig vault tool made specifically for Litecoin.
You create everything in your browser (keys never leave your device), pick your quorum (2-of-3, 3-of-5, etc.), and cosigners join via a simple link. No emailing PSBT files or wallet exports. LiteSig coordinates the signing round, tracks who’s signed, and only broadcasts once you have enough signatures.
Key points:
• Fully client-side crypto (BIP39 seeds, BIP48 derivation, PSBTs)
• Standards-compliant so you can always recover/export to other wallets if needed
• Free to create wallets and practice full multisig on testnet
• Subscription only for the ongoing coordination service on mainnet
• Auditable and non-custodial; we hold zero keys and zero coins
I built this because I wanted a smoother multisig experience on LTC without relying on centralized services or clunky desktop tools. It’s live now and open for anyone to try.
Would love feedback from the community, especially on usability or any missing features. Questions welcome!
(Full transparency: I’m the builder, so happy to answer technical questions or share more details.)

I looked into $LTC but I’m just on the fence about adding it to my portfolio. They say it’s a privacy coin but i don’t get how it is

I swap XMR to LTC first and then move into a stablecoin and it tends to be a better route in my experience though. It might not be for you

Yes, the LTC market has changed. I know ours is rising in cost. Still cheap for us. It is also true that LTC insurance is really only for those of certain asset and income ranges. If the premiums are not affordable for you, then it is not a good choice. If you have spending capability in excess of $200K per year per person, then you don't need this insurance.

🚨 Breaking 🚨 The U.S. SEC recently approved the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF for trading on NYSE Arca. This actively managed multi-asset fund includes exposure to both #Ethereum (ETH) and #Litecoin (LTC) as part of an eligible basket of 5 to 15 digital assets.

a crypto loan = you put up crypto as collateral and borrow against it (usually stablecoins/cash) without selling, so you keep your LTC and dont trigger a taxable sale. you can only borrow a fraction though, LTV is usually 20-50%, so 1000 in LTC gets you \~300-500. the danger is liquidation: if LTC drops, your loan-to-value climbs and the platform sells your collateral, you can lose your LTC in a dip. and for LTC specifically, most DeFi (aave etc) doesnt support it since litecoin isnt a smart-contract chain, so youre mostly stuck with centralized lenders (nexo etc) = counterparty risk, "not your keys." useful for liquidity without selling, risky if you dont respect liquidation. whatre you trying to do, free up cash without selling?

About 2 months ago I got frustrated enough with the current wallet landscape that I decided to just build my own.
Not as a side project. As a real competitor.
The problem I kept hitting:
ETH on MetaMask. SOL on Phantom. BTC on a separate wallet. XRP on yet another one. Every chain has its own app, its own seed phrase to manage. It's 2025 and we still don't have one wallet that actually does everything well.
So I built Wally.
One browser extension. Every major chain. Single seed phrase. Clean UI. No bloat.
Honest alpha status right now:
✅ Full EVM (ETH, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base and more)
✅ Solana + SPL tokens
✅ XRP
✅ dApp connections
✅ AES-256-GCM vault encryption
🔜 UTXO balances (BTC, LTC etc) — next week
🔜 UTXO sending — shortly after
🔜 Beta — once UTXO is complete
What I'm not doing:
No VC money. No transaction tracking. No data selling. No referral spam.
Why post now before beta?
Honestly I want real feedback from real users before I call it beta. Alpha testers who find issues now shape what Wally becomes. That matters more to me than a clean launch announcement.
Alpha access at wally.id
Also launching Wally Street NFTs — a free Genesis collection on Solana for early supporters. Market Emotions series. Bull, Bear, Chop, Pump. Mint requires Wally wallet.
Solo dev from Sweden 🇸🇪🐋 — happy to answer literally any technical question.

Your comment had nothing to do with the guy's comment at all. Lmaooo. You're trying to bash LTC. LTC chart still way better than TAO despite LTC being irrelevant for years 🥴

You are missing the guy point. Apparently he only a BTC holder now as everything is bullshit. Apparently the guy used to mine LTC back in the day. He was answering your assumptions since you said he doesn't know what a PoW and PoS is
