Am I crazy here? This chart is listing them for sale at $4.7x. Your LCS is buying for under $4. The whole premise of your argument here is that you can buy for under $4.

Hi everyone, just got into this very recently and want to build my own stack too. I notice plenty of YouTubers recommending smaller quantities like ASE/maples which could be easier to sell.
Are silver stackers mostly selling to others when you need to cash out? Because I thought my dealer shop where I buy my silver from would be the place to sell so I should check their spread and they should be buying most of the products they sell right?
TLDR- are we supposed to be selling to individual collectors to reduce the spread instead of selling it back to the LCS?

honestly I've wanted to make an app that scans and logs the receipts fom my LCS in the worst way so I don't have to think about it. but that's work and I'm lazy.

slowly stacking. I kept visiting my local LCS.
I sold a few pieces to others in person. Went back to get more. But stopped when spot was $65. I developed a hobby in coin hunting and found a quarter and 2 dimes :). I’m trying to stack more. But I’m not sure 🤔 what to stack. My LCS dealer always tells me “silver is silver”
“Weight matters”.
Also that other silver cost a few dollars above spot.
So I always buy what silver they have on spot.
But I notice people stack certain things.
I love shiny things. But I do want to profit off the graded ones.
So I can buy more shiny coins 🪙😂.
I need opinions.

There is a reason central banks all over the world have been and are stockpiling gold and silver. They know something we don’t. Remember that.
All the experts are saying that gold and silver are going up, and going up bigly.
When I started stacking silver was $23. I bought $20k worth before it shot to the $50’s. Then before I knew it , it hit $121, but then dropped like a rock into the $80’s. I bought quite a bit more at prices of $80 and $70… the key is to keep dollar cost averaging.
In 2 years, when it’s $150 or more, you’ll be kicking yourself for not stacking now.
Buy a little bit every month, just what you can afford, and in 10 years you might very well be retiring or at the very least much better off than ppl who have zero PM’s.
The biggest mistake all stackers make is to not have a viable EXIT STRATEGY. Think now about what you will do should you find yourself with $100,000 of silver and gold. How will you sell it without being ripped off? Will you sell a little? A lot? And how? (Hint: find a reputable LCS and use peer to peer trading, including here on reddit)
Good luck my friend. Ignore spot prices. Keep emotions out of the game. Stack away!

I buy what's " on sale" usually a bit below spot. Sometimes melt. My LCS treats me well. Last 3 times I bought gold at melt. That being said I've dropped 35k this year and I hooked them up with a friend who is closer to 100k this year.

In January when silver was $105, my LCS wasn’t buying 90%. And they were paying a lot more for ASEs - it’s good to have all different types of silver so you can sell what is in demand

Personally I try to only go for spot deals, which are pretty much only online. My LCS is highly variable with their premiums - it seems to depend on the trend of silver. I've seen them sell generics for as low as $2 above spot to $10 over spot for generics.

I ended up getting a rabbit proof at my local LCS.
I do not buy much silver anymore except for gifts.
So once or twice a year.

I was lucky the LCS had something interesting as she is picky
and likes cute animals and proofs!

Alberta, Canada.
5% over spot for generic (which at my LCS includes Britannias and Kangaroos)
7% over spot for DNA Maples

This site shows this plainly where they list their buyback prices on the product pages (kudos for the transparency):
[https://www.moneymetals.com/ms70-graded-silver-american-eagle-pcgs-ngc-random-dates-1-troy-oz-999-pure/1190](https://www.moneymetals.com/ms70-graded-silver-american-eagle-pcgs-ngc-random-dates-1-troy-oz-999-pure/1190)
Their "Sell to us" price for a slabbed MS70: $65.77 (spot is at $68.77 as I type). They sell them at $140.41.
I'll note raw coins have a much smaller spread. Unslabbed: [https://www.moneymetals.com/1-oz-american-silver-eagle-random-year/262](https://www.moneymetals.com/1-oz-american-silver-eagle-random-year/262) which has a Sell to us at 65.29 (52 cents under the slab price) and they sell them at $79.78
Your local LCS is looking OK, to me, on this.

that’s what im thinking. adding this to the stack, but LCS would get me a nice $20 dollar profit.

Yes, Yes & Yes! Good choice, I have a feeling we end 2026 strong & I loaded up heavy, very heavy on 2026 ASE's. Dealers & LCS are paying $1-2 abover spot for 2026 mint sealed tubes so a good buy imho & will do very well depending on if/when we potentially see full blown QE out of the Treasury & Fed (not this 2-4B/monthly nonsense), TRUE QE & its coming folks ... its coming. This will be ROCKET FUEL to Gold & Silver, all PM's. Lets go 🚀

They publish on their website. They are the gold standard in town. I have gone into pawn shops and asked about that they pay for gold or silver and they pull up the LCS's website to quote me. If you DM me I will give you the website,

My LCS is super cool and will check stuff I get elsewhere for free! Idk if it’s even normal for them to charge? But if it is I guess that means I’m spoiled.

Do you know how many people they talk to a day? and you expect them to remember you specifically, from a phone call you made 2 weeks ago, that lasted 5-10 minutes?
From your perspective, you know you talked to them. From their perspective, they have no idea who you are; they forgot you the second the phone call ended. It's not personal. They've interacted with hundreds of people since you called...and you're expecting them to remember you ***specifically*** and everything you talked about?
Do you remember what you had for dinner two weeks ago? What about the cashier's name the last time you bought groceries? Without looking, what's my username? It expends too much time/energy to remember every. single. detail. of every. single. interaction. You're only beating yourself up by taking this LCS interaction personally.
