How can a Decentralized ID's used to verify activity and participation be protected against the spam/scam NFT's that are constantly sent on chain to a persons wallet address?

Someone told me one day it's "Soft Kyc" 🤣
At least my ID is not in a database 🤷🏻‍♂️ For now that's convenient for me..

Hey guys! I’m trying to buy some ETH on Binance but I’m having trouble with the verification process especially with the Govt ID part. Most of my Govt IDs are already expired and I’ll have to find another way or a passport but damn that can take a month or two. I also thought to myself maybe handing over KYC is not such a good idea especially with passports or very important government ID’s.
I also think there must be a catch on Non KYC exchanges but I feel like I’d rather go with the Non KYC ones. I’m not gonna do large transactions anyway and with that, I’d just use the Non KYC Exchanges for now. So with some research, I found **LocalCryptos**, **Houdini Swap**, **LocalMonero**, and **KuCoin** (with a certain limit), but I'm not really keen on P2P marketplaces.
Someone suggested P2P marketplaces but if it’s security I’m looking for, I’d rather go with an exchange. Right now I’m leaning towards buying it on a non KYC DEX exchange rather than a CEX exchange so **Bisq**, **HodlHodl** is on the bottom of my list (I’ll still consider them just in case or for future uses who knows). Thanks for helping out.

Stark ID is getting some traction. Similar to ens it resolve on many dApps, bravos also support starkid and it's only mobile wallet available on Starknet

Hey y'all I am just getting into crytocurrency and had a bunch of doubts and what better place than reddit to clear them.
I wanted to know (please correct me because I may use the wrong technical terms) how I can verify a given Address Transaction ID? (alphanumeric) is of a valid crytocurrency or not?
And if it is is it possible to check what kind of crytocurrency it is? Like Dash, Monero, Bitcoin,Ethereum (for now I am looking into these 4 that is why I have explicitly mentioned them)
I read about btc scan but I want to know how it works I cannotfind anythingon the internetto help me with this, also is there other tools like that for other types of crytocurrency? and is the structure behind these tools the same?
I love coding and doing projects and am thinking of doing one on crytocurrency so this will help me out a lot because I can't seem to find material for these things so I can read up.

I think what happened is that the advertisers now want to ID you, so Brave is pushing it as KYC. All under the guise of 'preventing abuse.'
They KYC you to sell your data.
Only a matter of time until it happened. Pretend to be on the side of liberty until enough people follow you and join, then change your mind once you get big enough.

I’ve been searching for information on this website, [https://cme-crypto.com](http://cme-crypto.com/) for a while and haven’t been able to find any information.  I’ve registered using one of my other email addresses, so I am not too worried about that email.  It seems you can mine on this website and you can trade, but you cannot deposit or withdraw unless you verify, and I am not going to upload my DL or any other type of ID to an unknown website.  I've been in Crypto World since 2016 and I've been through Bitconnect so I remember those days clearly. I was told about this website by family, and I've tried to warn them about websites like this, but they continue to invest. Any information would be appreciated, I feel this is one of the websites that are too good to be true.

Check out [how it's working in China](https://twitter.com/songpinganq/status/1627130554046107649) right now. Your money has expiration date and gets disabled if your social credit score is too low. A journalist who wrote an article critical of the government had his CBDC disabled and his digital ID and photo is plastered all over public places shaming him for it.

So *the right way* to address this problem is to invite half a billion people to go to in person events in order to verify they have a body.
Through an identity check I suppose, probably with ID, otherwise you get verified several times.
Please think about the feasibility and advantages of this solution.
For Twitter, that's a gigantic cost and zero, zero benefit.
For users it's a total pain in the ass. For users in rural areas, it's basically an impossibility.

People pretend that the Democrats aren't behind all of this dystopian stuff because it's not politically correct.
But man, the Democrats are literally behind all of this dystopian stuff.
Digital ID, CBDC, banning crypto, internet censorship, you name it.

A lot of new tokens in web3 will even do better. ORE is one such token with a very low MC and solid ID solution.

>Can we buy bitcoin without exchanges besides mining
Yes. You can simply buy bitcoin directly from another person (peer-to-peer).
You can buy bitcoin directly from someone that owns bitcoin and that is willing to sell you some. You can buy bitcoin from someone that you meet at a Bitcoin meetup that is willing to sell you some bitcoin. You can buy bitcoin from a bitcoin seller that advertises on a classified ad website like Craigslist or Gumtree. Or you can use a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange to easily find someone that is willing to sell you some bitcoin.
[Bisq](https://bisq.network), [RoboSats](https://learn.robosats.com), [AgoraDesk](https://agoradesk.com), [LocalCoinSwap](https://localcoinswap.com), and [Hodl Hodl](https://hodlhodl.com) are some of the peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges that make it easy to find someone to buy bitcoin from (peer-to-peer). Another benefit of using one of these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges to buy bitcoin is that none of these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges ask for your personal information.
[Bisq](https://bisq.network) is a decentralized and open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency. Bisq is decentralized, so you have to run the Bisq application on your computer in order to buy or sell on Bisq.
[RoboSats](https://learn.robosats.com) is a peer-to-peer bitcoin exchange. RoboSats has Lightning Network integration so that you can deposit and withdraw bitcoin over the Lightning Network.
[Hodl Hodl](https://hodlhodl.com) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange. Hodl Hodl has Lightning Network integration so that you can deposit and withdraw bitcoin over the Lightning Network.
[AgoraDesk](https://agoradesk.com) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange.
[LocalCoinSwap](https://localcoinswap.com) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange.
All five of these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges that I have listed do not require you to provide them any of your personal information in order to buy or sell bitcoin. Many of the bitcoin sellers on these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges do not request any of your personal information when you buy bitcoin from them. Some of the bitcoin sellers on these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges do request your name/ID when you buy bitcoin from them because of certain laws/regulations or to help prevent them from getting scammed by fraudsters paying them with stolen accounts.

I have used VPNs many times on Coinbase. But the difference is I'm not trying to spoof my location. I'm using a US VPN and I have a US address and a US bank account, and a US ID. I have never had any issues and I've withdrawn and deposited over 6 figures worth of funds into Coinbase.
The people clearly from countries where Coinbase isn't allowed and trying to bypass geo-restrictions are likely the ones getting caught. There's also another factor no one ever mentions and that's where their coins are coming from. Plenty of idiots here have deposited coins from the dark web or from drug markets or casinos. Yeah. You're going to get shut down fast.
