Those are not mutually exclusive things to do.
To those that immediately jump in and suggest Bitcoin should only be saved because it is an appreciating asset the solution to this concern is simply **spend and replace** Bitcoin and than you never have any regrets
Why go through the hassle instead of spending fiat directly ?
I prefer using Bitcoin when I spend money for these reasons :
1) never worry about ID theft or cc fraud
2) Never worry about being overcharged or double charged
3) some merchants give me discounts because they save on merchant processing fees
4) Bitcoin does not have fx fees or worrying about the spread when I travel
5) easier to secure than fiat
6) supports my investment when I support the ecosystem making it more likely to appreciate in value
7) very private (of course I dont spend onchain as that would be absurd)
8) Just as easy to use as a credit card and if a merchant doesn't take bitcoin (I can already buy most things for bitcoin ) than I can just spend fiat as I am not forced into the false dichotomy of only using Bitcoin or only using fiat and can use both

Hello. I’m gonna post this for a friend he doesn’t speak proper english!
“Hello.
I need help with my issue due to lack of help from the binance help center in the app/live chat.
I’m having issue logging into my account
I have already verified my ID my number and email I only have one email and one number and one citizenship/ID. How are you telling me these are two different account? Did you separate them? Or is someone using my account and changed the number?
Please fix this mistake let me sign in my account and be able to continue my work and be able to control my assets.
If you can’t fix this please provide me with an email, or any contact method to anyone who can fix this issue and investigate my case. It’s been months and I’m not able to log in my account I don’t want to lose my money and I want to continue using the binance app.
Thank you.”
I really hope someone can help us with his issue, or if anyone faced the same issue, how did you fix it?

Three real people vouch for you, each staking 200 tokens locked for a year. If you turn out to be fake, they lose that stake.
So the question becomes: would you burn 200 tokens and lock them for a year to help someone create a fake account? And would you find two other people willing to do the same? The economics make it irrational at small scale — the fake account earns 100 tokens/week but the three vouchers collectively lost 600 tokens of liquidity for a year to make it happen.
No biometric scan, no government ID, no central database. Just people putting their money where their mouth is. It's how trust worked in every village economy for thousands of years — your neighbours know if you're real. We just added a financial cost to lying about it.
Is it as airtight as iris scanning? No. But iris scanning means trusting a company with your biometric data forever. This means trusting your neighbours with a financial commitment for a year. We think the second one is more practical for communities that already know each other — which is exactly where a local currency starts.

Not impossible, but very likely, the only way is if you can identify who owns the wallet for example if they send it to a KYC exchange to sell the crypto for fiat. police could be able to identify who owns the exchange account. However it's very likely scammers will know how to cash out while avoiding revealing their ID, or even if you can ID them it's likely they'll be living on the other side of the planet where police have no jurisdiction.
Plus unlikely the police will actually bother to investigate, too much effort for them most likely

One night, I needed to send some BTC to someone really quickly. My main exchange was down and asking for verification, and I started getting stressed. I tried a few smaller exchanges, but they all wanted my ID too. Then I remembered Changeum from something I read online. I tried it, and it worked! I felt so relieved. It’s not completely private, but it saved me from a big headache that night.

There have been multiple credible efforts by crypto/web3 projects in the last few years. Backed by serious money and idealistic, altruistic founders with values similar to those you appear to be espousing All have failed. Except maybe Worldcoin. Which solves ID by scanning your eyeball. I would research those projects and find out where they failed so you don't waste your time.
The fact you're posting this 'non crypto's in the monero subreddit is odd. But also a good example of why I love this community.

You should buy bitcoin from another person (peer-to-peer) if you want to buy bitcoin without providing KYC info.
You can buy bitcoin directly from someone that owns bitcoin and that is willing to sell you some. You can buy bitcoin from someone that you meet at a Bitcoin meetup that is willing to sell you some bitcoin. You can buy bitcoin from a bitcoin seller that advertises on a classified ad website like Craigslist/Gumtree/Facebook Marketplace. Or you can use a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange to easily find someone that is willing to sell you some bitcoin.
[Bisq](https://bisq.network), [RoboSats](https://learn.robosats.com), [LocalCoinSwap](https://localcoinswap.com), [Peach Bitcoin](https://peachbitcoin.com/), [Hodl Hodl](https://hodlhodl.com), and [Vexl](https://vexl.it/) are some of the peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges that make it easy to find someone to buy bitcoin from (peer-to-peer) without providing KYC info.
[Bisq](https://bisq.network) is a decentralized and open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange that does not request KYC info. Bisq is decentralized, so you have to run the Bisq application on your computer in order to buy or sell bitcoin on Bisq.
[RoboSats](https://learn.robosats.com) is a peer-to-peer bitcoin exchange that does not request KYC info. RoboSats has Lightning Network integration so that you can deposit and withdraw bitcoin over the Lightning Network.
[LocalCoinSwap](https://localcoinswap.com) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange that does not request KYC info.
[Peach Bitcoin](https://peachbitcoin.com/) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange that does not request KYC info.
[Hodl Hodl](https://hodlhodl.com) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange that does not request KYC info.
[Vexl](https://vexl.it/) is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange that does not request KYC info.
All six of these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges that I have listed do not require you to provide them any of your personal information in order to buy or sell bitcoin. Many of the bitcoin sellers on these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges do not request any of your personal information when you buy bitcoin from them. But some of the bitcoin sellers on these peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchanges do request your name/ID when you buy bitcoin from them because of certain laws/regulations or to help prevent them from getting scammed by fraudsters paying them with stolen accounts.

I’m sick of Coinbase asking for my ID just to buy some alts. BYDFi is the only one left with decent No-KYC limits. Plus MoonX is actually fire for sniping memes compared to dexes. Old Binance vibes for real
if you’re moving from Binance, check the BYDFi rewards center. that 8100 USDT bonus is tiered but worth it if you got volume. i’d use the 50k demo first though so u dont get rekt by the volatility lol.
coinbase fees are just a profit killer if you trade actively. i shifted volume to bydfi since their spot fees are significantly lower and the moonx system provides better liquidity for those smaller cap tokens i track. keeping my operational costs down has been the biggest boost to my pnl this year.

Hey everyone,
I made a mistake and sent the wrong token, which doesn’t even show up on Binance.
Transaction details:
• Request ID: UAiDZD7H6PoF6woH2kqm
• TXID: [TXID]
• Token: BCD_22c77
• Network: Ethereum (ETH)
• Amount: XXX BCD_22c77
• Date: 28 January 2026
I’ve submitted a recovery request on Binance and paid $20 the request is already in the final stage. I’m posting here to see if there’s any chance it could be resolved sooner, as it’s really important to me.🙏🏼
Thanks so much.
