If I had $20K to put into crypto, I’d personally lean more toward altcoins than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is obviously the king of the market, but with the price where it is, it just doesn’t feel like the best way for me to stack crypto and chase higher upside.
I’d rather spread that $20K across a few solid altcoins with strong fundamentals and use the lower entry prices to build larger positions. Obviously, that comes with more risk and volatility than BTC, so I’d diversify rather than bet everything on one coin.
Now this is just my thought; everyone should do what they feel is best. Since I do not have the money to buy a whole Bitcoin, spending 20K and getting about a quarter of a Bitcoin just does not excite me. However, taking that same 20K and spreading it over several promising altcoins like HBAR, Stellar, and XRP seems like a better move. But like I said, this is just my thinking on this.
For me, it’s less about how many dollars of Bitcoin I can buy and more about finding projects where I think the risk/reward is attractive.
