Fetch.ai is building a decentralized machine learning platform based on a distributed ledger, that enables anyone to share or exchange data. Fetch.ai is a permissionless, tokenized, decentralized machine learning network to enable smart infrastructure built around a decentralized digital economy. The network support autonomous agents which can perform tasks such as delivering data or providing services and are rewarded with a digital currency for their efforts — the FET Token. Fetch.ai has three key technological primitives that underpin the Fetch.AI network. Autonomous Economic Agents (AEAs) An AEA is an intelligent program operating on an owner's behalf, with limited or no interference of the ownership entity, and whose goal is to generate economic value for its owner. Autonomic agents can be thought of as digital entities that are able to make their own decisions. The Fetch.AI network dynamically reorganizes itself to provide an environment for agents to operate in. Essentially, this means rearranging space to place agents that can provide value "close" to agents that are searching for that value. Each agent therefore "sees" a different world from its perspective: a world that is reorganized for its perceived and declared needs. AEAs can be used to represent real-world objects, people, or assets in a digital space and enable them to communicate and transact quickly and efficiently. AEAs act independently of constant user input and autonomously execute actions to achieve their goal. Open Economic Framework (OEF) The OEF is the high-level node functionality: the layer on top of the raw protocol and ledger that delivers this environment and all the other operations agents need to operate. This connectivity layer enables a decentralized search for autonomous agents who can then find each other and exchange with one another. Agents conduct these transactions using a Fetch.AI's native asset, FET. Through these interactions, the agents negotiate and transact for their owners. This layer also provides interoperability between various systems connecting different devices, businesses, and services. A Smart Ledger The final aspect of Fetch.AI's network is its AI-powered blockchain ledger which logs all of the agents' transactions. As the agents and ledger gain more data it will provide public market intelligence, previously locked up in centralized silos.
