They championed Elon as their savior and he basically made the DOGE brand universally hated and cringe

LTC and Even BTC was mined on home computers in the past .. of course you can amortize the equipment and yes LTC was much easier.. look at the difficulty on Coinwarz.com … its just not the case now. No one is mining LTC without DOGE.. it just simply would make no sense unless it was over 400 .. trust me ..on this ..

You need to diversify man.. this looks way too consolidated into a single sector. Lots of overlap between DOGE and TV Bets Payouts, those are both in the dumb ass wendys employee fund.

Man, ETH... ETH ETH ETH. I want to like ETH. I've just lost so much money on it. But it bounced back, so you might be right. I wouldn't count ETH out, I'm just not playing with ETH for now.
And LTC, interesting. Don't know much about it -- isn't it a fork of BTC?

Frankly I've yet to see a real use case for crypto that is wide spread or retail. So I think crypto mostly (FOR NOW) rides on sentiment and greed, and I think name branding and technicals are strongest for sentiment and greed. BTC is a house hold name, so people know what it is and when they think of crypto bitcoin is the first they think about, even my mom knows about btc. And SOL is an amazing network and has lots of projects going on.
We'll see. The market is really crazy right now. Generally. But BTC seems to be following the 4 year cycle pattern, which is hopeful, but we'll see. It's all a gamble in the end huh? lol. GL

Can anyone really trust ANY economic information coming from this adminstration. Remember, they eliminated many of the experts in the field when DOGE came through, and the last Labor statistic report wan't pleasing to the administration and they fired Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner

I dont doubt your hands-on numbers, but I think you're mixing a local ROI decision with a global network claim. Buying a new L11 and fully amortizing it can absolutely look unprofitable, but that does not imply "LTC needs DOGE" or that mining would halt.
Litecoin was mined before Dogecoin, and if rewards drop, hashrate can fall and blocks can slow temporarily, but difficulty adjustment and miner entry/exit dynamics will move the network toward a new equilibrium (likely with lower hashrate/security).
I agree that DOGE merged-mining revenue can be the difference between profit and loss for miners at retail power rates, but not that LTC cannot be mined without it.

At .03 cents per KWh it’s still 70.00 at an 80% reduction.. the only thing that would make it makes sense is severe appreciation in LTC price. At free power is still about 49.00 per LTC at the 80% reduction amount. Currently it’s .02561 or 39 days to mine 1 per 5800 machine.. currently it’s 248 in hardware cost .. trust me if it was profitable I would be doing it.., LTC needs DOGE

You'd see https://postimg.cc/phwBn3m9 there, which shows that according to those IntoTheBlock metrics miners didn't really sell LTC more than they did DOGE since the Elon's 2021 pump. Actually, in some periods they even used to retain LTC more than DOGE.

I heard Republicans crowing at the time that DOGE was saving the country a gazillion billion dollars, but when I look at the lines on the spending charts, the trajectory has not changed one fucking bit. Not a course correction, not a blip, not a downward notch. Nothing.

Your conclusion is very plausible for your own power price and for current market conditions, but it reads like a local snapshot being stated as a global rule. A "$0.10/kWh" assumption does not generalize to the whole world, or even to the US, rates vary a lot. Also, if DOGE disappeared, some Scrypt miners would likely shut off and Litecoin hashrate could drop sharply at first, but PoW difficulty adjustment and miner entry/exit dynamics would push the system toward a new equilibrium over time. So "LTC mining would immediately halt" feels too absolute, even though the short-term impact could be slower blocks and much lower hashrate/security for a while.
