Keeping your LTV under 30% is probably the biggest thing. That gives you a lot more room if the market gets volatile. I’ve also seen Figure Markets come up for BTC backed loans if you’re comparing options. I think the platform matters less than understanding the liquidation rules and only borrowing an amount you’re comfortable carrying.

wtf…how many people keep gold or silver or cash under their pillow? If self custody was the only use case, how many people and banks and such would do that? And how much do you think BTC would be worth? $20 bucks?

One thing I've noticed about crypto traders is that many people who are comfortable trading BTC, ETH, and perpetuals rarely touch traditional equities.
It's not necessarily because they don't care about stocks. A lot of traders follow companies like Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon, and others closely. The bigger issue is that the experience feels completely different.
Crypto traders are used to markets being available all the time, being able to take long or short positions easily, and managing everything from one place. Traditional equities still require a different workflow with brokers, market hours, and additional restrictions.
That's why tokenized equities are an interesting development.
I've been looking into onchain equity platforms recently, including Canborsa, and the idea is interesting because it brings stock exposure into an environment that feels more familiar to crypto users.
The bigger opportunity isn't just trading a token that represents a stock. It's the possibility that equities eventually become part of the same ecosystem as other digital assets, with more flexible settlement and integration with onchain applications.
There are obviously still challenges around regulation, liquidity, and adoption. The infrastructure has to mature before this becomes mainstream.

He buys high, sells low, and does NOT short.
It's part of the strategy to increase BPS, but he's not even following his own guidelines on when to buy/sell BTC.

Here’s a balanced, evidence-based reply you could post:
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Derivatives, futures and other forms of “paper Bitcoin” absolutely influence short-term price discovery because they allow exposure without everyone buying spot BTC. That can reduce immediate buying pressure and dampen volatility.
But they can’t create actual Bitcoin. If long-term holders continue removing coins from exchanges while ETFs, corporations, governments and retail investors keep accumulating, eventually real supply becomes scarce. At that point, derivatives can’t manufacture deliverable BTC they can only transfer risk between market participants.
That’s why I don’t think “paper Bitcoin” can suppress price forever. It may delay or smooth the move, but if spot demand consistently exceeds the amount of Bitcoin people are willing to sell, the market eventually has to reprice. History has shown that supply shortages in scarce assets tend to resolve with higher prices, not lower ones.
The real question isn’t whether paper Bitcoin exists it clearly does. The question is whether there will be enough real BTC available when the next wave of buyers wants actual ownership. If not, that’s when a true supply shock becomes possible.

It’s going to take a long time for BTC. We are very early. But this is the path for all money. It has to be a store of value BEFORE it can be widely adopted as form of payment.

We all know that BTC carries a substantial premium over ETH, even after adjusting for its lower supply. There are roughly six ETH in circulation for every BTC, yet one BTC currently costs about 34.5 ETH. That gives BTC a scarcity-adjusted premium of approximately 5.75x over ETH.
But how does ETH compare with the other top crypto assets?
The table below calculates what each token would be worth if its circulating market cap equaled ETH’s, based on its current circulating supply. It then shows the premium ETH currently commands over that token after adjusting for the difference in supply.
Interestingly, ETH carries a significant scarcity-adjusted premium over every token on the list. BNB and XRP come closest, while the premiums over assets such as ZEC, XMR, LTC, AVAX, and CRO are dramatically larger.

Lol. “
If you keep your savings in BTC you are (in theory) removing yourself from the inflationary controls that the government has” BTC is attached to the money market, when easy cash is available BtC goes up. When cash is restricted BTC goes down because omg its a speculative asset not a currency or a hedge against inflation.

Tokenization fails because there’s no link between the chain and reality. If you put your ID on chain, and someone takes your wallet they don’t become you. They don’t get to move into your house and fuck your wife.
The only things that can be represented on-chain effectively must be *entirely* on chain like BTC for example. Even stablecoins don’t really make sense, if someone takes the money out of the account you don’t have shit, and issuers can freeze the tokens in your wallet

I worked at this sorry corporation. I was hired as software support. So, Oracle hired me and a few other 20 somethings, and fired the entire team from the company they purchased. They handed me an End-User manual, told me to hit the ground running, and had me sit in an empty room, WITHOUT A COMPUTER, to train for 5 weeks.
Once I started supporting LATAM, they asked me to support North America too. Sure, why not. Then they added me to Europe, which became a problem in the first 10 minutes. I spoke to my manager and he told me "he would look into it".
I was then added to support ASIA a week later. WSB is full of astronauts compared to Oracle's leadership. I hope to see them turn into Worldcom, Tyco, Evergrande, or another one of the greats ....
I thought I would be bending spoons, getting my regard on .... Turned out I wasn't regarded enough. So, I left after a year. Puts on Oracle. Or at the very least, NEVER buy anything they are tied to, they are shady and cruel. If you own a business, do not buy their software, or get stuck in a contract with more hooks than Tijuana.
"Oh, one of our engineers allowed someone to access your server, encrypt it, and request BTC to unencrypt? So, ransomware, which we sort of facilitated? Pay us $9k and we'll fix it" ....
F**k Ellison.

btc broke $65k at noon UTC on heavy vol - roughly 4x the normal 4h candle. bounced back above since but recovery is thin, maybe a quarter of the sell volume. that pattern doesn't usually hold. ETH same picture - 80k contracts on the flush, 13k on the bounce. not calling a reversal here. sitting flat and watching for either BTC to reclaim $65.5k on a 4h close with real follow-through, or ETH to actually tap $1843-$1858 and show some structure there. dead cat vibes until one of those happens imo

Does not seem to be that well calculated, the whole time BTC whent over 100k I knew it was not going to last, it always ends up dropping down 40% from its all time highs. I put 5k into BTC when it hit 58k a few weeks ago, that seems like an actual well calculated buy.
