Everyone in crypto is always chasing the next strange narrative. Half the time it's just recycled garbage, but occasionally you run into something that makes you stop and look twice.
I was browsing mexc today and noticed $STONK ripping +28% while BTC and SOL were both bleeding.
Turns out it's tied to StonkFun, a Solana launchpad pairing coins with stocks, memes, and commodities. The numbers caught my attention:
* $23.92M 24H DEX volume
* $968K 24H protocol revenue ($5.19M 7D)
* \~$493K in 24H buybacks (60% of revenue goes to open-market buy and burn)
They even briefly flipped Pump and Hyperliquid in daily revenue, with 84% of their monthly revenue coming from just this past week.
Obviously, low-liquidity pumps can reverse instantly if volume cools off. But I'm always curious about these experiments where the market hasn't decided if it's real utility or just a temporary hype-cycle.
So how do you guys treat these revenue-backed setups?
Genuine new meta on Solana, or just another 48-hour distraction?

US can control dollars.
US cannot control BTC.
Therefore BTC will not replace dollars.
I still think BTC is the most ideal form of money.
Humans need it.
But deep down Humans don’t want it. They want control. BTC doesn’t let them control.

Tax implications.
I have a decent amount of BTC stored in Kraken. Already sold some so hit my personal allowance on what’s tax free.
Any other exchanges I could use or potentially loopholes to avoid a very heavy taxable disposable?

Well there was a single exchange that listed them. A small startup that felt they could use the exposure. Then the BIP-110 guys harassed them because they refused to list it as BTC. They were so toxic the exchange decided to wipe their hands of the whole affair.
So, I guess you can try to find an individual who'll trade with you directly LMAO. These clowns

That makes sense. No need to force an entry when you’re not convinced yet. If BTC keeps ranging here, gradually averaging in sounds more reasonable than trying to time the perfect bottom. I’d probably do something similar and keep some cash aside in case we get another deeper pullback.

A realidade:

• Megawatts de energia.
• Milhares de máquinas.
• Infraestrutura em escala industrial.

Tudo isso para produzir \~1 [$BTC](https://x.com/search?q=%24BTC&src=cashtag_click) por dia.

It doesn't get discussed because spending wisely and saving is just common sense. Owning Bitcoin should not be how anyone learns the value of investing and spending wisely. BTC has been and still is a high risk / high reward investment. I made money on it because I have owned since 2017 and am still holding. But it did not "change the way I look at spending" and it should not. The way you look at spending should be governed by simple common sense.

At around $77–78k, I’d personally still keep BTC as the core position rather than go 100% into alts. You already did well accumulating in the $50–60k range, so there’s no reason to get too aggressive now. I’d rather keep most of the BTC and use a smaller portion for selective alt positions if the opportunities look good.

He isn't the only one, there were several other posters on here that were arguing with me about this.
This was a reply I made to another poster more or less arguing with me about the same thing pertaining to buying ETH vs. ADA right now.
"Let's say we go into 2027; the market is starting to get into a bullish environment and BTC is trading at 90k+. Let's say ETH at this point is trading at 4k, so a little over a 50% move from here. What do you think would happen with the rest of the alts? In this environment, do you see ADA at best matching ETH's performance by only being at 30 cents?
Very short term price action is impossible to predict and pointless. For instance, in the fall of 2024 ADA was trading around 35 cents while ETH was at a similar price to where we are currently, about $2400. After the 2024 election hype ADA traded as high as $1.30 while ETH peaked at about 4k.
I'll use XLM as an example from that same time period. Right before the election it was trading around 10 cents and then climbed above 50 cents at it's peak, so a 5x.
A weak example would be LTC, it was around $65 and peaked at a little over $100 in this same time period. Another one is Bcash, both of these had very little price movement for years leading up to this, at least relative to the rest of the alts out there.
The whole point is that when we do get bullish phases with alts, ETH leads and many of the alts with smaller market caps will OUTPERFORM it. IF someone were looking to do this, they need to be able to identify the correct time to be buying.
I'm not saying people should do this, the point is that when ETH pops hard relative to BTC the broader alt coin market follows along even stronger. It has nothing to do with fundamentals of the coin lol.
If you aren't aware, virtually all alts, including ETH, are primarily driven by hype and speculation. Picking the horse that runs the fastest is honestly going to come down to luck. What is NOT luck is identifying when these alts are low and where they could be making large gains for profit.
What you are seeing now is NOT a bullish phase in the market, it's a bear market rally. This is not the same as the Q1 2024 ETF pump, the Q4 election pump or the spring 2021 alt season. When this occurs again, and it will, you will see what I'm describing here play out."

I think the most used chains have a chance, since they have real world use, revenue generation etc. That's the bottom line. They're treated like companies now with backers, vc etc... so look for the coins with the best product and funding. They'll survive. Same as the TRON's and XRP's of the old days still alive.... IMO I like , ENA, XPL, SUI, HYPE (not in any order as they all kind of touch on different future areas.)
So in short the bets for Sui lets say working on A.I agentic scaling blockchain and finance tools, will be different than the market XPL is going after with their set of everyday neo banking products etc.
I personally think XPL and ENA are primed and in great real world markets with actual products, and low marketcap relative to those products and their utilities.
HYPE is ... well hyped... and Sui is awesome team and tech, but yet to find their product market fit, or accelerate their unlocks to get rid of their shit tokenomics. Keep an eye out on their october Sui basecamp for updates...

But hey, Final word is this ... if BTC crashes to 50k , none of these thesis will matter. If BTC stays relatively strong however, then yes, give the next 1-3 year bull market a chance to sort out these technologies and winners. Alot of their success is almost irrelevant to how much money is in BTC anyways.

Bitcoin has a meme that generates yield from memes. Evidence for Buy The Cat and below is a picture of how decentralized the wallet holdings are.
[$BTC](https://x.com/search?q=%24BTC&src=cashtag_click)
is an organic community and grassroots.
1. This primes it for success due to building hardcore holders.
2. Whales have an overall less effect on price.
3. The narrative is so good, the headband stays on and Store of Value Meme and Yield bearing meme cannot be topped.
Don’t overthink it, ₿uy The Cat and chill.
