Maybe a more fair comparison is ETH, considering BTC's market cap is nearly 7x bigger and takes more capital to move it percentage.
In which case, ETH can, and has, done +10-20% moves in a single day.

I agree I'm biased towards this belief but also don't think BTC continues up if snp goes down

1. Create an Exchange Account: Kraken, Coinbase, Binance works.
2. Buy Bitcoin. No brainer. And see how it works buying on Exchanges.
3. Learn what a Private Key and 12 Words Phrase is. Basically its your Password to your Wallets OnChain.
4. Select a Self Castodial Wallet. Exodus, Phantom, OneKey are a good start.
5. Create a Wallet on one of them and safe your Phrase safely! Its your password. If someone gets it somehow they have control over your assets!
6. Use your wallet Bitcoin Adress and send your BTC from your Exchange to your Wallet. This will teach you how sending, receiving works. Your BTC are now under your control and not in an exchange.
7. Hold!
This is like the basic start. GL

You think BTC is safe? It’s 96 people holding bags of cash, 3 people endlessly exchanging funds, and 1 new mark that comes and goes.

Get a loan. But btc. Oay off the loan.
If you have a property as tender you might even get a reasonable interest rate
But it is gambling on BTC price with leverage. You can easily get burnt if the market is not behaving like you expect. But as long as you don't depend on a rise of the btc to pay off the loan ...

Inflation is only caused by monetary debasement. Everything else is supply and demand despite what the US government would like you to believe and most certainly not inflation.
Demand for housing is high for a number of factors, but a primary factor is wealth preservation by the wealthy. BTC can absolutely help here as it gives a much better option for any individual to preserve their purchasing power over time vs. owning multiple homes.
All this is easily researched with multiple easy to find sources all over the internet, im not going to regurgitate it all here for no one to read. If you're interested, seek it out yourself. I'd suggest a good understanding of Keynesian Economics first so you can understand how horrific it really is for the ordinary individual over time.

Based on my own personal, anecdotal experience most people including white collar professionals are not up to speed with cryptocurrency other than BTC price, let alone what Ethereum is currently achieving. We are still early. This price action doesn't really reflect it and can be painful as hell but long-term I think we are easily looking at a multi-trillion dollar "market cap".

The only way you can be wiped out is by selling the BTC. I kinda see what you’re saying. It takes a lot more credit to get the same amount of BTC back in 2015. It’s best to DCA and whenever you come into spare care put it in BTC. It will still be there when you need it.

ETH broke its ATH a few weeks ago. As I noted in earlier posts, the ETH risk metric hasn’t spent sustained time in the heated zone yet (80-100). We only saw a brief push into the low 60s.
Right now: risk = 55 : \~$4,469. ETH has been touching this band since Feb 2024 roughly 1.7 years.
History: parabolic runs that began from risk \~50:
* Feb 2016 (\~$4.35): ran until Jan 2018, risk \~88, price $1.4K ( \~2 year run).
* Jun 2020 (\~$311), special case, post COVID liquidity: hit risk 95 in Jun 2021 ($4K), ultimate top Nov 2021 at risk 80 ($4,732, 1.5 year run).
This cycle: ETH first reached risk 50 in Feb 2024. It’s been \~1.7 years with no sustained 80-100 yet. Yet, ETH doesn’t have as many full cycles as BTC, so I anchor to Bitcoin history (since 2013, each BTC cycle has tended to extend by \~0.5 year). As the base asset, BTC sets the tempo, I expect ETH to rhyme with that.
Levels to watch:
* If ETH clears and holds above risk 60, my model points next to the 70s risk band: $5,960 on the Dynamic Risk Range.
* If ETH loses the 50 band, a retest of the 40s risk band is likely: $3,377 before any durable breakout.
Bottom line: I won’t call a top until ETH spends real time in 80-100. Size with the bands, DCA in cooler zones, DCA out in hotter ones. Consistency > precision.

Sure, it just depends on your time horizon, LTV, and how much cash you need. Paying 15-20% cap gains in one shot is likely worthwhile in many cases so I get it.
All the same, it's exciting that the lending possibilities exist now because there are definitely scenarios where you're better off borrowing against BTC than selling.
