Yes I understood how it works. I told you - don't be "the general public." Go and *do what it takes* to be paid in stock options. And build that big net worth. The rich person *did something* that was worthwhile to get that bag. That's what I said. If your ambitions or skills are not up to par - that's not the billionaires' fault. Unless maybe you are trying to compete in an industry with some of them, and they are using tactics to suppress you. Then that's cutthroat business stuff, but I highly doubt you are in competition with any billionaires right now.
Did not watch the whole video about spacex stock but I do know about the index funds and fast tracking and the super small share float and I heard many of the sketchy things about all that. Don't buy index funds that include it. Direct 401Ks to invest into something else. Leave the regular paycheck job, convert the 401K to IRA and take the risk of starting a billion dollar business. Blame the regulators for that one, not spacex. I think it's an overvalued hype ticker, and I'm just staying away from it.
"Take from those who have, to give to those who have-not." Absolute fuck you. That is just robbery wrapped into "morality" fluff. Improving society by fleecing the producing class is already how it works with marginal tax rate brackets and the welfare state. Society would get better when people get off their ass and EARN a better quality of life for themselves. The rich pay the highest tax rates, and pay a big property tax bill for their mansions, and they employ a lot of people, and their money does have a larger footprint and net effect. Taking more and more from the rich will result in the rich leaving. And taking with them the business, the capital, the jobs, everything.
Don't look up the 128 various programs and giveaways that spend money on able bodied lazy people, EBT, and plain fraud. Until you ensure that every single dollar goes only towards those who desperately need it, not some fake daycares and soda and chips.. you do not get to say that the rich need to pay more. The rich will steward their money better than this frivolous taking and redistribution to the scammers and fraudsters. Is all that spent money making things better for society? Hell no. It teaches the unscrupulous how to game the system, get that fake disability set up, get the stamps, whatever. You can't tax your way out of fraudulent money pit of spending.
I'm not saying every high net worth person made their money in the cleanest way. We can look at the cars and the rockets and all that and what it took to get there. Uber would not be possible without a smartphone, without GPS, without a ubiquitous network of cell towers. Right? It's just an app that is somehow worth billions making some pricks quite rich. They did not build the wireless network, the towers, the phones, did not put GPS satellites in orbit, they made a fucking APP. And then used various sketchy tactics to drive out taxi businesses, I'm sure. I've rode in ubers and lyfts dozens of times, it's fine, it works, it's easy. But I'm not defending every wealthy person. The Uber guys in particular are probably assholes you should also hate for how they made their money and how many lives they destroyed and how little they pay the drivers, and how they don't verify that the driver or their vehicle is actually safe. I was also not happy with TARP bailing out AIG and Goldman Sachs. But I'm not saying take everything from the fat cats at ubers and goldmans and aigs and "distribute their wealth" to anyone else. That isn't going to fix anything.
