Staking alone did not result in receiving an airdrop. You had to know what Midnight was and somehow manually associatebyoyr Cardano wallet with the phase 1 glacier drop event. People who were already staking ADA but didn't know about Midnight missed out.

I’ve been a long term holder of ADA and it hasn’t appreciated at all. At this point I’m just holding it just in case but likely won’t get my money back. Doesn’t matter if it’s a beautiful code if it doesn’t get widespread adoption or appreciates in value.

ADA and XRP are my favorite, too. I never buy cryptocurrency with the idea that I'm making sound investments, however. I see it more as gambling. I have no idea what will happen, and just because they're superior technology - which is ridiculously more efficient, faster, etc, doesn't mean that the masses will adopt it.
If you look at past history, the value of these currencies has always really fluctuated a lot, and there is a good chance they'll go back up - but there is no promise of this. I don't have a crystal ball to predict the future. No one does.
In the end, it's up to you. It's gambling, but the odds have been better than going to a casino so far. Much better.

Can someone please tell me if I have my ADA on a ledger, but I used Yoroi/SecondFi to view it, is my card so safe? ie do I need to create a new wallet?

If your original reason for investing in XRP and ADA is no longer valid, taking the loss and moving on can be reasonable. But if you still believe in the projects, ask yourself whether you'd buy them today at current prices.

I was forced to sell my ADA at a 20% loss due to a financial crunch a few years ago but it was a blessing because it would've been an 82% loss if I'd held until today.
My XRP is still up almost 2x my original investment.
You never really know which way the wind will blow or the price will go. As others have said:
1) if you can't afford your bags to fall to $0 then sell to protect yourself;
2) if you don't believe in the future success of XRP or ADA then sell to live your convictions;
3) But if you can afford to lose your bags and you believe there's a future for them, you may as well hold and see what the future brings, good or bad.
**All investment is gambling**. You're sitting at the roulette table and you've got less money left on the table then when you arrived at the casino. Do you continue to play the game, knowing it could go up *or* down? Or do you walk away with what you've got left?
It's up to you and your risk tolerance.
Whatever you decide I hope it goes well.

If the last time you made a transaction was in Yoroi and you haven't upgraded to SeconFi DON'T. Your wallets won't have been compromised according to SecondFi. Use your 12, 15 or 24 words to create the same wallet in a Hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor and your balance will be there. Alternatively you can create a wallet in Lace, Eternl, NuFi or some other trusted ADA wallet.

Exactly. Most of these morons on here that hate on alts buy when things get a bit frothy instead of at the lows. There are some fantastic opportunities right now with alts where you could make some solid profits without them even hitting a new all time high. ADA is under 20 cents and spent all of last year ranging around 60-80 cents. ETH was at 5k and is currently under 2k, etc.
