The "another account" you're talking about is the token account of your wallet. Your wallet has a different one for every SPL token.
So for example, your wallet with the address AAABBB contains USDC and cumstainonmybagels token. Then it'll have two token accounts, for example a token account 111CCC for USDC and 555HHH for cumstainonmybagels.
And the different value likely just means one of the two is not updated on solscan for the current value.
