Similar numbers but about 100K less capital and making 25K yr. This money for me is gravy, and not necessary for my survival. Also some of these I've owned for quite some time, I don't know if I would recommend buying them now or not...use it just as a reference. MO, BTI, O, JEPQ, SCHD, GAB, PFFA, CRF, IGLD, ENB, The only one showing in the red is GAB, but that is less than 2% and I've been collecting dividends on it for a long time. Good luck to you.

The thing about gold you need to remember is people mostly buy it in recessions or high inflation periods. but when the Economy is good or stable they don't buy it. So historically gold does through long periods of stagnation and little to no growth. So as an investment you likely will not make money from it. So there is very little reason to actually hold real gold.
you would be better off investing in a good covered call fund. like KGLD, IAUI, IGLD. These sell covered calls on the price of gold. Covered calls effectively convert the price volatility of gold into dividned income. With this funds you couldreasoonable expect 11% yield or a bit more over a 10 year period. With dividned reinvested your initial $1K deposit would double to 2K in about 6 years. If you turn off dividend investment you get $9 cash deposit in your brokerage account per month from fthe 1K initial invesmtnet.
Other options for gold are funds that will take you money, buy gold and hold if for you in vault and large you storage fee. When you decide to sell they will sell the gold in the vault and give you the moeny. Possibly with a transaction fee. Now you can buy gold at costco but you would have to find someone to sell it to and they will likely pay you less than the going rate for gold.
Or you could buy stock in companes that mine gold.
