There are several ETFs that mature late in 2030 (or you could pick 2029 if you need it early in 2030.) Examples are MYCJ(!5.0% yield), IBDV (\~4.6%), IBHJ (!6.7%), BSJU (6.8%), IBTK (\~3.8%), and BSCU(\~4.6%). These would mostly invest in bonds that are due late in 2030, and are likely as safe as most other choices. But a Money market fund, CD, Treasury, or short term bond fund are all good ideas, I might put 10-20% in each area to spread the risk.
