I use Fidelity as my investing platform for brokerage, a Cash Mgt Account, as well as both my husband's and my IRAs. Currently, any cash is held in SPAXX yielding 4.02%. We keep mostly CDs in the cash management account and several just redeemed but I'm thinking CDs may not be the best option right now for this cash. I'm thinking of putting some of the cash in either HYMU (Name changed recently to SHYM) or SGOV. HYMU/SHYM is federally tax exempt with a 4.33% yield and a 0.35% ER. SGOV has a federal taxable yield of 5.08% and an ER of .09%. Looking for opinions. Serious question. Please be kind. Thank you in advance.
