I did this recently with an old Roth IRA. I was debating between opening a Roth Crypto IRA or just buying FBTC, but Fidelity's 2% fee on crypto (that you expect to rise) isn't great. I went with FBTC.

You do know that institutional investing *IS* retail, right?
- IBIT = BlackRock Bitcoin ETF
Largest BTC ETF, which quite literally buys and manages BTC positions for it's clients (retail), and charges a 0.25% expense fee.
One example.. MSTR is another, FBTC is another, ASST is another, etc.. these are all "institutional" investors that are funded by retail.. normal people like me who have shares/positions in them..
