>I don't get this idea that WS UI is so much better than QT that it's even in the conversation for why to pick one over the other.
When I left questrade last year they had Three iOS apps (old, regular and edge), TWO, web pages regular and edge, plus desktop apps
> Also, what does "very modern" even mean? That's meaningless.
Even with the above, MOST questrade processes where decades old multi day manual processes.
1. QT Want a new account type? Download a PDF form (sometimes partially populated) fill it out sign, scan, upload this to our FTP via the website (hope it works). They had only STARTED replacing some of these with docusigns. Approval often was still days.. In WS you fill this out on your phone and the account often activates in minutes.. Better yet you add another account and ALL of your personal info is already populated you just agree in the app and it works.
2. Want to enable DRIP (ignoring that QT does have REAL drip), in questrade you fill out another form to upload and request this, and need to KEEP doing this for every new investment. In WS you go to the account, turn on DRIP....
3. ONLY JUST THIS YEAR, journaling became a UI feature.. Up till November last year you had to contact support for every journaling request.
THAT is what I am talking about with modern.. WS, nearly everything is in app, easy instant, and or automated.
I am sure QT has made more improvements in the last few months but their track record for rolling out features was damn near non existing for as long as I have been with them.
