That's a trap though. I myself fell into it with Crescent Point Energy years ago. I had bought in at around $30, when they were paying a crazy monthly dividend (something like $0.20/share if I recall) and it was great. For awhile. Then the price of oil started to slide, and so did CPG. Down and down it went, and I kept buying an "averaging down" thinking that it'd come back at some point.
Well, then the dividend got slashed, of course, and the share price continued to slide down into single digits. I finally gave up, sold out, and booked the capital loss since it was in my taxable. I should have done that years earlier and gotten the money into my index ETF.

Holy shit. I can't believe this is a stock. I drank this all the time when I was a kid. I just assumed it was owned by Pepsi or some huge CPG company.
