Thoughts x2?...explanation after.
My "Fun Fund"
\-JPM (JP Morgan)
\-V (Visa)
\-BRK.B (Berkshire Hathaway)
\-WM (Waste Management)
\-UNP (Union Pacific Rail)
\-CAT (Caterpillar)
\-DE (Deer)
\-AAPL (Apple)
\-WMT (Walmart)
\-COST (Costco)
Wife's "Fun Fund"
\-RY (Royal Bank)
\-TD (TD Bank)
\-NA (National Bank)
\-DOL (Dollarama)
\-L (Loblaws)
\-ATZ (Aritzia)
\-CP (CP Rail)
\-CCO (Cameco)
\-ENB (Enbridge)
\-SU (Suncor)
Explanation:
\- Our actual portfolio is 100% VEQT
\- Recently started this and call it our "Fun Funds" (Keeps us in check behaviourally as we get to scratch itch to stock pick with rules to keep us in check...i.e., 10 stocks each, equal weighted, $500 per stock)
\- It is a bit of a game or competition between wife's portfolio and mine. Wife's portfolio is Canadian companies and mine US companies. So far I am loosing (I welcome thoughts here..I want to win, but not a gambler)
\- Both portfolios are relatively boring sleep at night portfolios. Both of us are not great with massive volatility and tend to lean towards known companies/blue-chip/dividend type (mine mimics VGG, wife's mimics VDY)
thoughts, additions/subtractions/recommendations??
