Crude oil can be stored. Prices have been buffered by stategic reserve and other releases (China had stockpiled oil). Refined oil products degrade and can not be stockpiled in quantity. Crack spreads reflect the shortage in refined products. They will continue to soar. Whatever oil may do, companies that refine oil will outperform. Buy Suncor or Cenovus; CNQ will not perform as well.
