I’m 37 and single
My employer recently moved vendors and switched from Sun Life to Manulife.
I don’t know anything about investing or even different account types. I’ve tried to do my homework regularly but I’m a researcher and not at all a finance or numbers guy!
Sun Life gave me DCPP, RRSP, NON REG savings plan. Moving to Manulife I got - NRSP, RPP, RRSP, and TFSA - all of these are in BLACKROCK. Should I be worried about BLACKROCK and move to another fund?
I do know that my employer matches some of these contributions and I have been maximizing those always.
But that’s about it LOL
I don’t know / would like to take more control of the money and where is it being invested. I know a lot of these accounts can’t be touched till I retire.
With Sun Life - they had me assigned to BLK LP Index 2055 Fund and Manulife has me in standard life path index 2055 fund (BLACKROCK)
Do I contact Manulife to have these reassigned because I won’t like to be invested in a fund involved with arms and war?
Is this advisable? Do I need to go outside of Manulife to manage my portfolio as you can clearly see my level of expertise? 😂 Where would you start?
Happy to hear your thoughts ( :
