They were run ok.
The problem is that the market got carried away by the previous growth and overpriced it, and then the entire industry in Canada got rug-pulled. There's a reason why Rogers, BCE, AND Telus all started to struggle at the exact same time.

Not sure I agree. It was but the new CEO steps in and buys up real estate assets.. now cuts the dividend to focus on debt. As a share holder this is good right ?
The only question is will they pull another BCE and go out and spend that saved money or will it actually go to debt like planned. We shall see

Wow Telus … dividend cut of 55%
godamm I’m already underwater with these guys. I think part of me wanted a cut but now that’s it’s happened I feel like crap for holding this to the inevitable end.
I started out as a dividend investor and picked up BCE and T over the years.
Not really working out eh :(
