I’m not sure if you are aware, but oil and gas is a unique industry. So it has unique cost recognition principles. Literally every business has unique cost recognition to reflect its actual business practices. You wouldn’t depreciate a computer the same way you would depreciate an office building, and you wouldn’t depreciate an oil and gas reservoir the same way either.
And again the third one is a subsidy for clean energy production. It’s hilarious that you are doubling down on something that actually validates my point.
I would never use EESI as a source for anything. They are biased, pushing an agenda, and, based on this excerpt, financially illiterate.
