Citizenship residency requirement is the same. 5-y. Or 3-y if married to US CITZ. Obviously if you are married to a US CITZ, onc can get LPR status by simply filing the I130, I485 without jumping thru this $5M hoop.
The Immigration System is actually quite easy. There are no hoops. Prove youre eligible and thats it. The crappy part is the wait times due to backlog. No hoops.
