Sorry for delay - was temp banned for saying a certain political party was stupid.
I started the year with heavy investment in Rheinmetall (RNMBF) which is traded in foreign currency. You also benefit from the dollar declining this way.
I also picked up large positions in Finnmechanica (or Leonardo, who acquired DRS some time ago to operate in the US) and also trade them in foreign currency - FINMF.
Thalles (THLLY), SAAB (SAABF), EADS (EADSF), BAESF, Safran and Dassault Systems...
Some of these (especially RNMBF) started the year like rockets. Others have had a piddly 50% return for the year (!!!!) but I held on to them...
I did get lucky - reducing my positions when it seemed sketchy, then buying back in when things seemed to be picking up. I really just went with my gut, and watch the news / current events like a hawk. WHen things were getting hot again w/rt Ukraine & Russia, I'd make sure I had a large position in what was doing well, and then I'd reduce after giant positive swings and repeat...
Things seemed to have gone flat, and I have almost no EU defense holdings at the moment.
