There are other inconsistencies that can be surpising.
Here's how I would test a search in all the ways to search
Start with the full official name listed with the SEC
Example:
If I use the Symbol Lookup popup
Typing in "Arista Networks Inc"
gets
Sorry no matches found
Typing in "Arista Networks"
gets you ANET correctly
as does "Arista" which gets ANET and ASPW (Arista Power)
"Arista Networks Inc" or "Arista Networks Inc." fails in the Research & Quotes box (left side)
it also fails in the top right search box
Just an example: more correct words in the company's name shouldn't eventually cause a search fail.
Sure you can say "no one types Inc or LLC, but it's just an example of more correct words in a name causing search failure.
It should make the search more accurate (especially with ADRs and international)
