Well idk for Americans, but I'm from Kazakhstan and I'm literally investing all my 100% of portfolio into banks since they're criminally underrated. And it's giving insane performance for the last years, Forte bank (ASBN) grew 7 times and I sold, not thinking it's gonna grow next few years. Freedom Bank (FRHC) doubled in a year too and I cashout. Now I'm keeping all my money in Bank CenterCredit (CCBN) and Halyk Bank(HSBK). Kaspi is underrated too but it's just too huge to grow anymore and the only driver for growth is probably foreign investors since their stock is very expensive for kazakh retail investors. Halyk costs less than a dollar, Forte costs few pennies, CCBN costs like 10. I hope they will do stock split, because kazakhs are only now learning about stocks and investing so I'm expecting huge flow of money into KASE(Kazakhstan Stock Exchange). People are afraid because of sanctions and I understand because foreigners are not really accommodated with Kazakhstan. But there is no risk imo as a citizen because this banks don't support and don't try to profit from russians since it's extremely risky and 99% of clients and profit from kazakhs. Freedom for example left from Russia, and other banks don't allow to open unless they physically visit Kazakhstan, and even then, we're having more and more restrictions for them.
