Embedded value of LIC is 8L crores. Making mcap/embedded value ratio of around 0.60. While for most insurers this ratio is above 2. Making it a value buy.
It also gave good results in Q4, so if it can continue that performance, it should show good growth.
P:S - Embedded value (EV) in life insurance is a key financial metric combining Adjusted Net Asset Value (ANAV) and the Present Value of Future Profits (PVFP) from existing policies. It measures a life insurer's total economic worth without factoring in future new business.
