To start this off, I want to give some background / baseline information to better understand where im starting from. Im an 18M living in Canada who discovered day trading about a 1 1/2 years ago. I work a part-time resturant job but have realized this isnt what I want. I've started to look at everything in increments of hours instead of price, (i.e. $34 dollar item -> "Oh this is 2 hours of pay") and I hate it. about 3 years ago was when I started this job and i've been looking for a way out since. This led me down the get rich quick rabbit holes where i tried droppshipping, door to door sales, gambling, buying courses, AFBA and SMMA (tried to but couldnt) etc.
**Now i've come to day trading.** I've created a Trading view account in the past and Created a new one now that im 18 and honestly I dont know where to start learning. It feels like everyone is either trying to sell me something or has some hidden motive. People call trading "Educated gambling" but if theres people who are my age and older making life changing money from this, why cant I do it? This leads me to the creation of this post. Where should I start?
Paper trading, pre-existing strategies, creating my own strategy, learning Lingo such as DOM, FVG and IFVG, Voluability, stuff like that are all in these videos about day trading and it seems everyone explains it a little differently. Is there a smarter way to learn other than trying to skim thru the scams and gurus online looking for someone whos genuinely trying to teach?
I am here to learn so any and all tips or advice would be amazing, thank you!
