I am not a optimist like you, it's been more than 60 years since independence , and we are still not able to truly have a single nation growth story - our growth is fragmented , national policy is stagnating with little to no reform on the macro level for the last 10 years ( post GST) , our indian blue chips are largely non ambitious , we still have no company exploring and investing in Africa and other countries, we are trying to match indian consumption which is not sustainable , we don't have a leg on technologies which will give us a safe hedge from population reduction, workforce stagnation etc , our foreign policy is still passive for the last 30-40 years even though it has bettered but still we are playing the same game that we are one of the powerful country but we are still not able to leverage our power even in the IOR .
As we move closer to 2047, we are in a big need for tough, tougher and tougher reforms, more capitalism and ambition from indian companies , more market participation from our people ( people are still shy of capital markets ) compared to other developed nations , more and more manufacturing and less and less red tapes, we will have scams? Of course we will but it is one of the way you can identify if your system is working or not , if there is no ambition , there is no vision , there is no drive to make more money , there will be very less trickle down effect on the economy.
