Liebe Alle,
Es ist wieder Zeit für eine Grundsatzdiskussion. Hurra, Hurra.
So weit so gut.
Darum lebt doch euer Leben,
freut euch auf den nächsten Tag,
wer weiß auf dieser schönen Erde,
was der Morgen bringen mag.
Freut euch an den kleinen Dingen,
nicht nur am Besitz und Geld.
Es ist alles nur geliehen
hier auf dieser schönen Welt.

Still Nebius. Tell me one stock with a market cap of over $50 billion that you think could easily 5x. Imagine ChatGPT X comes out in a few months with amazing capabilities and requires even more compute. Every last idiot would then understand what AI will do to every business, and cloud hyperscalers would explode in value. Nebius also does a lot of AI implementation work itself - a skill that is becoming more and more sought after.

When it was the Roadster and S/X, sure.
If the Optimus follows the same track, they have to actually prove to be very good at what they do and then release a model that does basically 80% of the same functionality for 50% the cost.

Need to have patience. Musk has a way to create hyped news. The stock has data center burning more cash until good news arrive. The minus is X (ex Tweeter) lost such massive in equity due to low revenue. I have not viewed spcx income statement see how much is write off or bets with politicians and how much is real revenue.
I get offered to buy ipo stocks through my brokerage almost weekly. I am not active buying almost all for obvious reason.

We can make regulations such as requiring robotaxi providers to transparently send safety metrics and be transparent into investigations of issues and proposed fixes.
What lawmakers shouldn't do is legislate "you must use X technology".

Love the comments here. The bottom line is no one knows what SPCX will be valued in the future. The important question is whether you can stomach the unrealized loss at this time? The stock market is a casino. Especially at this time. One X message from Washington n based on what side you are on it’s a good or bad trade. Just have a plan.

Here’s an almost guaranteed way to know if your stock has hit a short term bottom.
You’re currently in a sudden drawdown. It’s been a few days. You search your stock on X. If every bear alive is confidently saying the same exact thing “target” that they’ll buy the stock, or where it will bounce, etc…. you’ve bottomed. It NEVER reaches these levels, ever.

People read company financials, next you gonna tell me to pick up a prospectus.
This is reddit, people are still arguing about if Tesla is going to moon and if Space X is going to bring them all the way to Mars.

Everything is so delusional right now. I look at my finance news app it tells me thos stock is having a bad day because X, or that sector is selling off because Y, and by the time I'm reading it none of it is true. All the stocks they're talking about are up, the market is barely down.
This morning I see the top headline has a typo...I dunno. The only thing that seems true is that literally no one seems to know anything anymore.

S&P will always win. That doesn’t mean you should own some stock or invest in something you believe in, but I wouldn’t put a substantial amount in stock. The only way I’d do that is if, one, I was stupid wealthy. Two, I worked for said company. Or three, you have the simile track on something like 95% of our politicians do.
I plan on buying Space X as it is the future to me, but I also plan on buying in about 6 months when it’ll probably be about half of what it costs now. I’ll also only buy a share or two.
Otherwise, I’m sticking to my index ETF’s, and just riding those out.

mt5 can't do this natively — the built-in trailing stop only does fixed-distance trailing, there's no "breakeven at 1R" rule.
your options:
manual — set a price alert at your 1:1 level, move the SL yourself when it pings. fine if you're at the screen.
a breakeven EA — search "breakeven" in the mql5 market, there are free ones. you set the trigger (e.g. +X points or 1:1) and it moves the SL to entry (+ a point or two to cover spread/commission so "breakeven" is actually breakeven) automatically. attach it to the chart and forget it.
if you already run your own EA, it's like 10 lines of code to add.
one catch: like all trailing logic in mt5, it runs on your terminal, not the broker's server. terminal closed = nothing moves. if you want it working while you're away, it needs to run on a machine that stays on, i.e. a vps.
small heads up on the idea itself — breakeven at exactly 1:1 is where a lot of retests wick to before continuing, so you might find you get scratched out of trades that would've hit TP. worth checking your history whether entry+spread or entry after 1.2-1.5R holds up better. but the mechanics are the above either way.

Answering your #4 directly: I don't think a real-time flag helps — the moment it fires is the moment you're least able to hear it. A tilted brain treats an alert exactly like it treats the checklist: as noise. What can't be ignored is enforcement: broker-level daily loss limit, a hard size cap, a lockout after X losses. Alerts negotiate. Settings don't.
On #1 — journaling only changed my behavior when I stopped rereading it and started \*counting\* it. Not "what did I feel", but: what % of my rule breaks happen within 15 minutes of a loss? At which hour? On which instrument? Mine clustered almost entirely in the hour after a red trade. Once the pattern is a number, it stops being a personality flaw and becomes a parameter you can set a rule against.
\+1 to PremiumPricez — same experience: the stats view is what finally made it stick, not the diary view.
And your #5 might be the best question in this thread. Almost every tool sells you more analysis. The actual leverage is fewer decisions, made earlier, enforced by something that isn't you.
