Upon reflection, my first memory of 🥭 involved WWE; now he is my president—strange times indeed.

I don’t think you realize how big the WWE is. They’re pulling 2-3 million users worldwide every Monday night. They probably pull a million in every Friday for the international rights to Smackdown. The PLEs are also there for international viewers.
That’s a massive audience hopping onto Netflix every week. It’s a big international play for them and gives them a live event to stream every week with advertising revenue to support. And it captures an incredibly loyal fan base. I’m one of those who almost cancelled Netflix but keep it around just for Monday Night Raw on its own.
For some context: ESPN paid $1.6 billlion over 5 years for the domestic PLE rights alone. If anything Netflix got a deal. They’re probably pulling in $200 million a year on the advertising alone.

They spent 5 billion dollars on WWE deal. In my personal opinion one of the worse financial deals in history. Thats not to own WWE outright, thats just for the streaming rights to Monday Night Raw. They deserve to go bankrupt for how stupid their executives are. After this deal I canceled and havent been back.

Deal Breakdown:
• Total Deal: $5,000,000,000 (10 Years / $500M per year)
• What Netflix gets: Rights to WWE Monday Night Raw
WHAT THAT MONEY COULD BUY INSTEAD:
1-Month Subscriptions (All at once):
• 556 MILLION accounts (Standard w/ Ads)
• 250 MILLION accounts (Standard Ad-Free)
• 185 MILLION accounts (Premium 4K)

Legitimately might be the most corrupt system on the planet, just absurd, like believing the WWE is real
