# KIND OF CRAZY HOW THE SECRETARY OF WAR DIDN'T TAKE INTO A CONSIDERATION A STRAIT THAT IS 104 MILES LONG

the discussion began with a statement about a draft and that most people would just go along with it.
my point is that it would be resisted and that you & others may be underestimating the determination of Americans on both sides of the political spectrum.
overall America is quite deeply divided but one of the few things the vast majority appear to agree on - and something that Trump ran on is - NO MORE (endless) WAR. the only reason to resort to a draft is for "boots on the ground" and THAT has been very unpopular for a long time.
The only reason there was enough public support for the Afghanistan & Iraq invasions was because of 9/11
