"Amazon asked the FCC for an extension on a July 2026 deadline requiring it to have 1,600 satellites in orbit. The company said at the time that it expected only around 700 to be operating by that deadline."
The issue is this at the end of the article. If FCC play by the rules then Leo would be killed stone dead and lose its licence when July2026 comes around. This is because Amazon doesn't have enough rockets to launch enough satalites. And even if they paid Elon for launches that would still require Elon to use up ALL SpaceX launch capability and basically launch every TWO days, which is insane.
So it is only possible if Elon did Bezos a solid, which is of course not happening as they are busy with their Starship development.
