I added $60 to my brokerage account which I understand automatically gets invested into SPAXX. I invested $30 into SPUS and $30.04 into NVDA (to completely use up the amount that I had in SPAXX). These were my first transactions in the account.

* Why do I still have $30 cash?
* Why is my cost basis (29.91 and 29.96) less than the amount invested (30 and 30.04)?
* % of account does not add up to 100 as a result as well

I have about $80,000 saved in the bank and am looking for some feedback on how to allocate it.
Here’s how I am currently thinking of splitting it up:
* UIF Savings Account (3.62% APY): $25,000 \~ 31%
* $13,000 for a used car purchase
* $12,000 for a 6-month emergency fund
* UIF 12-Month Time Deposit (3.79% APY): $20,000 \~ 25%
* SPUS (ETF): $14,000 \~ 17.5%
* HLAL (ETF): $7,000 \~ 9%
* SPWO (International ETF): $7,000 \~ 9%
* UMMA (International ETF): $3,500 \~ 4%
* AMAGX (Mutual Fund): $3,500 \~ 4%
That would put $45,000 in UIF savings/time deposits and $35,000 into investments. The four ETFs and one mutual fund are Islamic-compliant and available through Fidelity. They follow specific guidelines, generally avoiding businesses involving alcohol, gambling, pork, conventional financial services, and war/defense, while also applying financial screens to limit companies with excessive interest-based debt or other non-compliant financial activities.
The $35,000 investment portion would be divided 80% into U.S. investments and 20% into international investments.
My thought is to gradually invest the $35,000 over 12 months, which would come out to roughly $2,917 per month. Once the 12-month time deposit expires, I would continue gradually moving that $20,000 into ETFs over the following 12 months, at roughly $1,667 per month.
Any thoughts on this? Is this reasonably diversified, or do you think too much is sitting in cash/low-risk accounts?
Is putting $35,000 into U.S. stocks and an international ETF too risky? My plan would be to hold the investments for at least 5–10 years. With the current Trump administration and the state of the economy, though, I’m a little concerned. Inflation, gas, housing, etc. all feel extremely high right now. I know the market has crashed before and recovered, but I’m not sure if we’ve ever really been in a situation quite like this.
How would you change the amounts? Would you put more or less into the ETFs and mutual funds? Are there any other halal ETFs, mutual funds, or other investments you think I should consider?
