The President of the DRC, Félix Tshisekedi, officially launched RDC-PASS in Kinshasa.
There are Presidency photos and videos of the event. The President personally went through a biometric demonstration. Congolese media covered it. Attendees posted from the venue.
RDC-PASS has been described by African tech media as a US$97.1 million digital infrastructure project structured as a 20-year public-private partnership, with Trident Digital Tech as the technology partner behind the rollout.
