What I like about this company’s management they don’t give af about standard roll up strategy I was taught in business school. They are dancing to their own tune. And the stock is getting rewarded for it.
What I don’t like about this management and the Board is they know the value they bring to the table and are charging us shareholders handsomely. Wish they acted more like Mark Leonard in terms of personal gain.

So Siddaramaiah resigns as Karnataka Chief Minister.
Fair enough. Politicians come and go.
But somehow, Cafe Coffee Day investors wake up ₹122 crore richer.
Why?
Because DK Shivakumar is expected to take over. And DK Shivakumar's daughter is married to the son of late VG Siddhartha, founder of Cafe Coffee Day.
That's it.
That's the investment thesis.
No new stores were opened.
No debt magically disappeared.
No turnaround plan was announced.
No blockbuster earnings call happened.
Yet Coffee Day Enterprises shares immediately hit the 20% upper circuit.
Apparently, on Dalal Street, a political reshuffle in Vidhana Soudha can improve the prospects of a coffee company overnight.
Imagine explaining this to a foreign investor.
"Why is this stock up 20% today?"
"Well, you see, the probable future Chief Minister's daughter is married to the founder's son."
"Ah, so the company got a major contract?"
"No."
"New investment?"
"No."
"Debt reduction?"
"No."
"So what changed?"
"Family WhatsApp group dynamics."
And the best part is that this wasn't some tiny intraday move.
The stock added roughly ₹122 crore in market value in a single trading session.
Somewhere, a CFA charterholder is updating his valuation model with a new parameter called:
**Political Relative Multiplier (PRM).**
At this point, you have to wonder whether stock prices are being determined by discounted cash flows or by wedding invitations.
P.S. The company still has the same debt, the same business challenges, and the same coffee shops it had the day before.
P.P.S. The only thing that changed was a political headline.
P.P.P.S. Somewhere in America, an analyst is building a spreadsheet. In India, we're apparently building family trees.
