XME has been good. REMX has not, but could be beginning to trend back up again. You can also tatget individual metals like palladium PALL , platinum PLTM , silver SLV/SILJ , copper COPX, steel SLX. And even though you don't want gold, there's a neat gold + gold miners fund GDMN. Out of all of these, I'm only in the 1st and last ones I mentioned. Plus some commodity baskets SDCI PDBA HARD which can include metals. You didn't ask but there's also uranium URNM NUKZ. Which is kind of a hybrid between energy and metals.
