Because of the lie that a trade deficit = a country being ripped off. If a trade deficit is so unfair, then it begs the question, what the hell is fair about Australia's trade deficit?
As for 'not that free of a ride'. I mean, you can't even find one thing other than the PBS. Which is covered by tariffs anyway, and relies on the flawed logic that if the US drug companies made more money, they would lower prices. Come on, you can't possibly be that gullible.
Take a look at the things you're repeating, and the source they come from. I grant that European nations aren't meeting their NATO spending obligations. If they didn't like the terms, they shouldn't have agreed to them.
The rest of this tariff stuff is pure nonsense. Apparently, Australia is now not doing enough to stop forced labor. It's not even a clever lie.
