You dont buy stocks when everbody likes rhem u buy them when evwrybody hates them. Its the hardest part to believe when novody else does. Quality companies with big margin of safety. Meta in 2022, UNH last year, now ORCL with 90 billion revenue comming in and astonishing 638 billion in backlog while having the worst month in 25 years... yah yah big debt bla bla.

now is a good time to buy MSFT, ORCL, maybe some BTC too. software in general is on its right shoulder (just look at their 5 year charts). i think we'll retest right shoulder highs, so easy 10-20%. then sell sometime in August

Wow! This whole sub and comment section is one of the best I’ve seen in over a year - well done everyone!
IMO, a lot of what happened the last two days (notably the first 2 days of the second half of the year), is a lot of profit taking on stocks that went parabolic going into the long weekend and Summer. A lot of “wait and see” money out there now.
Also, the META announcement was more of a warning shot for the AI Infrastructure buildout Co’s (ie. CRWV, NBIS, ORCL, etc.) than the memory stocks. Those were all down a LOT the last 2 days. I think it was a great move by META ‘cause you gotta get SOMETHING for all that spend you’ve done and the spend you’ve projected while you continue on. After all, they’re still spending.
To that point, Memory stocks are reactionary. Always have been. BUT they have had HGE multiple expansion! I think this is a good test right now, and we’ll see. But valuations across this sub-sector are still really low. Have you SEEN the FWD P/E on these???
The huge spend is still happening, and is going to continue for at least the rest of the year. Who do you all think it’s going to?

ORCL is a good stock, it is on my watchlist, but just not the time yet, like Netflix, it will go up, but still too soon for enry

I expect Monday we'll see if they can rebound, and if not, we're going to start seeing money just leave the market. Everything kind of caught up that was lagging, so yeah it's mostly software. And software gets hit as the semis get hit and is just as exposed to the changing AI narrative. I'm watching ORCL closely for next week as it is massively oversold and hitting some pretty major resistance. A lot of other stuff has kind of already run and the charts look horrendous.

What do ORCL and MSFT have in common besides neverending losses? Reliance on OpenAI, which just begged the government to take a stake in it.
The people who seem to know things are sprinting away from everything OpenAI.

ORCL is down 43% in the past month alone? Lmfao… trash stock for a trash company.
No joke though, looks like a pretty good swing trade opportunity.

ORCL: We are taking on debt to build the data centers we promised to Open AI.
Open AI: We can't make a profit and we can't even fake it for an IPO, we will ask the government for money.
Government: We have a significant stake in INTC and Open AI, we must ensure their survival.
