I remember 3 years ago I was just starting in the market and learning or so I thought. I remember seeing amc and gme getting hyped and jumped in. All the posts back then were like super energy then the ups and downs and talk of diamond hands. Sure we all thought of the patience it would take to hold long term like that and thought it was crazy, yet we still hold. This hold has been what makes OG Diamondhands! To all of you that have truly held and are possibly still buying, (guilty as charged) I just wanted to say, respect. Truth is, what they didn’t say about holding like this, was that after a certain point, it actually becomes easy. I used to get so pissed watching the Fuckery, but now it is all coming to fruition. It isn’t for nothing. I will ride it to zero if that’s what it takes to get change in the markets. I want to trade without as many games. Yeah, it’s time they own their shit and we get paid, but to me it’s more than that. Amctothemoon

Wasn't the Fed the OG emergency lending facility for banks? How do you expand it without just printing money?

I think OG mmtlp holders after all said and done we will end up with only owning 33% after they dilute NB shares. They have made it impossible for OG shareholders to increase positions. I think Management and insiders want to retain the majority of the "oil assets"
They sold everyone on the idea the 165m shareholders own 100% of the controlling stake. I expect them to use up all those 500m authorized shares. Pretty much means for example if the divi were to be 100 it will be in the 30s

Slept on it a bit and coming back to think more critically and with more clarity. Shoutout to Ky and Honey as well for their very insightful thoughts. I admit I got caught up in reactionary emotions upon the news, something I need to work on personally.
With that being said, I wouldn’t necessarily vote NO anymore. In hindsight, they handled the previous ATM beautifully and we wouldn’t be where we currently are without it. They recognized it was an inflationary bull market and the market cap was largely based on the squeeze + buyout rumours + overall sunshine and rainbows in the market. At the time, I recall the panic was similar to this one. However, the runway from it has allowed us to: have the 1st testing Jeep, complete track testing, purchase Ibeo, land the JLR deal, heavily increase our marketing presence, hire talent, continue to compete in these RFQs; I could be missing quite a few things. Anyways, they’ve been extremely disciplined with cash burn and maintaining a positive balance sheet. The amount of assets we got alone for $20 million on the Ibeo acquisition is honestly mind-blowing, so I trust that if any dilution occurs, they would use the money responsibly.
As others have stated, the issuance of more shares now does not necessarily mean they’ll dilute at the moment either. These OEMs have witnessed the collapse of a few lidar companies in the market thus far and everyone else is looking quite shaky. I’m sure they have their reservations about who to ultimately sign deals with if the company doesn’t exist in time for production. In that way, this signals to OEMs that they can generate more cash if needed.
With all this being said, I’m not saying I’m thrilled about it. I was hoping we would have generated enough revenue by now to avoid this situation. However, I don’t want to vote NO and thoroughly kill any deals that predicated on this arrangement. What would make me happy about this whole thing is continued and more through communication from the company on this. I think it’s the very least they can do, and it would help quell a lot of reservations we have.
At the end of the day, I trust SS and the team. He’s largely been an amazing CEO for his short tenure and accomplished most of the milestones set out thus far. I still think back about the Fireside Chat shortly after the abysmal ‘22 CES presentation. He heard the complaints of the OG longs earnestly, and stated that communication from the company would be different going onwards. Big moment for me personally was when he took on full blame and didn’t pass it on anyone else. CEOs rank highest on likelihood to be sociopaths (shoutout to our home girl Lizzy Holmes), but Sumit’s ownership of that mistake and rectifying that was incredibly grounded to me. And to his credit, the company’s been completely 180 degrees in that regard. If you’ve paid close attention, we’ve had some sort of significant PR every 4-6 weeks, and some sort of news to chew on from the company every 2-3 weeks at most since the ‘22 Fireside Chat. Most milestones were met last year. Cash burn has been great. They acquired a whole lidar competitor even in this abysmal market at an incredible price. Talk about ballsy.
I have too much skin in the game for this to be the hill to die on, especially if this is necessary to actually secure a major production deal and NEVER be a non-revenue generating company again. Whether we all disagree or not on this, I genuinely appreciate the discord on the topic and the amazing discussions being generated. This is what makes us special and I don’t want us to lose sight of that. Cheers, everyone

Anyone who was here at the start and tried to bring in friends/family knows that you can't force someone to read DD. Either they just buy in based on your personal relationship and will paperhand then yell at you at the first dip or they turn into idiot zealots like we see over at popcorn. Either way, it ends up being extra stress for the ape and hurts the movement long term. OG crypto folks have seen it all before with bros and the establishment co-opting the tech.
I question the OPs motivation for this post in general, but don't fault him for not telling his clients to DRS, as the people who pay someone else to manage their money are probably the least likely to want to do actual research. And that desire to research is what is essential to a successful grassroots movement. None of us have the full picture, but the hivemind can find it, as long as we're all motivated to look.

He’s a licensed financial figure and manages money for people and had his clients enter GME before the sneeze and hold this whole time and believes in moass. He’s realistic about figures doesn’t buy into the hype of moass tomorrow and has legitimate concerns of possible government and regulator intervention during moass. He’s a OG whale has booked shares himself and lends credit to our ideas by being a professional with licenses to back him up.

I don’t know about all of that. This is a new age and things are different. The discourse surrounding stocks has only become massive in its scope. The market can price these things in better than they could years ago. Can you think of any OG finance YouTubers pre-2016 who were actively bullish and had good discussions about it? Hell, everyone before Covid thought stocks was a rich person’s game. It’s hard to be blindsided by things when EVERYONE can see this shit coming from a mile away now. People were saying even before the second round of Covid QE that we were going to have inflation AND the fed wasn’t going to correct it. These ideas about the economy are no longer fringe.
As for being bearish now, I say good luck. At most we touch October lows. At worst, we trade between this dumbass channel between $420 and $380. The macro is undeniably more shit than it was when we hit $360, and we’ve still got rich idiots throwing money at the market because pivot.
