That assumes it won’t tank further. I like to leave a winner, and take some profits. I made that mistake recently with LDOS thinking the sell-off was temporary.

The top comment about HEI is spot on. Regulatory moats are the only ones that actually hold. Technical moats get disrupted every 10 years - ask Nokia, ask Intel. Look at companies where the government literally mandates their product: defense contractors, medical device makers with FDA approvals, utilities. HEI has been a beast because you can't just copy FAA-certified aircraft parts. Tyler Tech and LDOS are slow growth because government contracts are low margin - that's the tradeoff. If you want moats with growth, look at companies where switching costs are existential, not just expensive.

That fair.
I’ve looked at a few companies like Tyler technology and LDOS but the growth isn’t there. I guess I got Boeing after the wrecks but that really didn’t pay out that well.
What kind of regulatory moats do you evaluate? It seems like most companies tied to the government are duds for growth.
