Apologies if this research article has already been shared but I think this provides some strong evidence that Lidar will eventually be needed to provide the best self driving safety possible. This article strongly concludes that multi-sensor arrays are much better then any single one by itself. I think Elon will be proven wrong that Tesla can reach level 4+ with camera's alone. This by no means indicates that MVIS will succeed. They have to execute but I do believe that Lidar will become a important part of the self driving technology stack to achieve level 4+ in the coming years.
My very strong theory is that super focused and well funded short sellers (hedge funds) have been given the task of shorting MVIS into oblivion not because they think Lidar will fail......but because they think Lidar will be important and they want to drive the company to bankruptcy so another company they are working for can scoop of MVIS for pennies. Just like we did with LAZR. I believe it's clear many of the posters on this board work for these hedge funds and are cheering MVIS to drop below $1.00 once again.

Lmao, literally all retail longs are at best -90% on their initial investment, at worst, -99%. Idk who is buying at this point. The only player worse off than us on the entire playing field is ...LAZR.
