I've been doing factor based investing for one year now. These are my portfolios. They are ‘indirectly’ based on momentum, quality and value factors i.e. Technology is mostly momentum, Dividend Growth is mostly Quality and High Dividend is mostly Value.
Taxable account:
Vanguard S&P 500 (VOO)
Vanguard Information Technology (VGT)
Vanguard Dividend Appreciation (VIG)
Vanguard High Dividend Yield (VYM)
Vanguard US Multifactor (VFMF)
Roth IRA:
iShares Core S&P 500 (IVV)
iShares U.S. Technology (IYW)
iShares US Equity Factor Rotation (DYNF)
iShares U.S. Equity Factor (LRGF)
iShares U.S. Small Cap Equity Factor (SMLF)
iShares International Equity Factor Rotation (IDYN)
iShares International Equity Factor (INTF)
iShares International Small Cap Equity Factor (ISCF)
iShares Global 100 (IOO)
iShares Global Equity Factor (GLOF)
If there is more than 5% deviation then I rebalance and this strategy has been able to beat S&P 500 so far though not by much in a 'normal' market with regular ups and downs but in a highly volatile market where it suddenly goes up and comes down the next day is when it really outperforms.
