It has given decent returns since its IPO. It was trading around 3 Rs. in 2003, while the IPO happened in 1994. I'm not sure about the IPO price, though. It's more of a cyclical HFC compared to others that have generated consecutive returns. It's very attractive at the current valuation - 0.7x BV. If nothing else, it's a safe bet in the current market.
