Okay, talk about cherry picking, you’re looking at a 1 year window. Look at the 5 year on AGG
I was showing that ticker to show a point, equities are not the only investment that can cut your portfolio in half. Fixed income can easily accomplish the same thing is not properly diversifying it.
Which is why I wouldn’t simply buy VGLT or AGG. I would buy VGLT, VGIT, VGSH, AGG, IAGG, PULS, PAAA, FLRT and split the buckets accordingly to properly diversifying interest rate risk.
It’s a risk that prior to 2022 people underestimate the potential impact and those that did not split fixed income across durations properly felt more pain than equity losses during the 2022 recession.
Not here to do anything but educate.
