I went to GameStop today to buy my son some Mario toys, I wanted to grab a pack of cards for my self and was shocked to see pitch black boosters for $9.99 and ETBs for $100! My wife asked me if I wanted a pack and I said I wasn’t going to pay scalper prices for them. I had just bought a pitch black ETB for $65 at my LGS last week, the boosters there are only $6.99 as well, obviously more than retail but that’s what I expect from an LGs. Needless to say I am SHOCKED to see a major company like GameStop taking part in scalping. I wonder how many of the scalpers we see are actually people who work for GameStop, buying inventory for their store? I hope they go under.
