We have a total of $3.2 in investments and structured it in a way to preserve capital in downturns with core in low Beta and dividend growth being key driver. $2 million income sleave includes SCHD, DGRO and FDVV which are core positions (45% total) followed by smaller positions in DIVB, GCOW, DTD, VTV, GPIQ, FELV, SPYI, VYMI, GPIX, TDVI, QQQI, ADX, IDVO and DLN. Tax efficient and provides around $90k/year in income. Retirement accounts have around $800k in growth and index funds. $400k in misc (midcaps, emerging markets, quantum, Ai, etc,) We do not own bonds. Dividend growth efts outperform bonds in almost every scenario except for a repeat of the 1970's. We keep around $50k cash which is one year of necessity spending.
